According to Bloomberg News on Friday (January 5), Bloomberg commissioned the semiconductor industry observation agency Techinsights to dismantle the Huawei Qingyun L540 laptop and found that a Kirin 9006C processor manufactured by TSMC.The processor was assembled and encapsulated in the third quarter of 2020, which was the period when the US sanctions were cut off from the connection between Huawei and TSMC.
Industry experts have previously speculated that Huawei's chip manufacturing partner Zhongxin International may have achieved a second technical victory in a few months by avoiding US sanctions.But this latest discovery refutes these speculations.
At present, it is not clear how Huawei has obtained this processor three years ago, and both Huawei and TSMC also did not immediately comment.
