China ’s largest airline South Airlines expects that more than 200 Boeing and Airbus’ s single -channel aircraft will be received in the next three years.
According to Bloomberg, the aircraft delivery and exit plan released by Southern Airlines on Tuesday (March 28) showed that 103 Boeing 737 aircraft will be increased in three years. The report also shows that 111 Airbus A320 series aircraft will be added, of which 46 will be added in 2025 alone. The number of Airbus planes increased significantly compared with the number published in the 2021 report, and some of the delivery volume came from huge procurement announced by China in July 2022.
The last time China Airlines has received the Boeing 737 aircraft for nearly four years; air crash, global epidemic, and Sino -US relations have continued to be tight, which are the factors that lead to repeated extension of Boeing passenger planes.
Southern Airlines is expected to operate 431 Airbus A320 series aircraft and 451 Boeing 737 series aircraft by the end of 2025, thereby narrowing Boeing's leading advantage over Airbus in the supply of narrow aircraft to Southern Airlines.
Southern Airlines currently operates 894 aircraft, and plans to expand the fleet scale to 1059 aircraft by the end of 2025.
