Wang Chen had previously served as the party secretary and director of the party group of the Civil Affairs Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. On May 29th, the Organization Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Committee issued a public announcement before the release of cadres. Among them, Wang Chen intends to further use the leadership position of the municipal department level.

Public information shows that Wang Chen was born in June 1968, a native of Xinxiang, Henan. He joined the Communist Party of China in October 1993 and joined the work in July 1991.

Wang Chen was the deputy general manager of Guangxi Airport Management Group Co., Ltd., and general manager of Guangxi Civil Aviation Industry Development Co., Ltd., deputy secretary of the party committee. In 2013, he served as the Political Commissar of the Command Center of the Public Security Department of the Autonomous Region and was a deputy director.In 2016, he served as Deputy Mayor of Fangchenggang City and Director of the Municipal Public Security Bureau.

In December 2018, Wang Chen served as Deputy Secretary -General of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government and Deputy Director of the General Office. He later served as the Director of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region and the Director of the Autonomous Region Government and the Deputy Secretary -General of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region.
