The website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection reported on Thursday (March 16) that Wang Weijun was accepting disciplinary review and supervision and investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team of the National Discipline Inspection Commission in the State Development Bank Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group.

The WeChat public account reported that Wang Weijun was severely warned by the party and was removed from office.

Wang Weijun was accused of playing from March to July 2013 with public funds at the three golf courses in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province; from January 2013 to November 2014, he used public funds to be in Zhengzhou City.The home hotel and a bathing center rented a chess and card room to play cards, spending a total of 87,200 yuan (RMB S $ 17,000), and paid the meeting fee or business entertainment fee.

The National Development Bank Party Committee decided to give the Wang Weijun a serious warning within the party, eliminating Wang Weijun's position, and ordered the relevant cost of refund.
