He is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision and investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Tibet Autonomous Region.

According to the public resume, Pengcuo is 63 years old, Tibetan, native of Gal County, Tibet.He joined the work in June 1976, and joined the Chinese government in March 1983 as a postgraduate degree.
He worked in the Menshi Coal Mine in the Ali area in Tibet in 1976. In October of the same year, he studied at the Xinjiang Institute of Technology and the process and equipment to study, and then returned to work in the Agricultural Machinery Factory in Ali District, Tibet.
After 1985, he held a number of positions in the Ali area of Tibet. From 2017 to 2019, he served as Deputy Secretary of the Ali District Committee and Commissioner of the Ali District Committee of Tibet.
Since retiring in April 2019, Pengcuo has retreated for three years from his post.
