Farewell Letter, Cui Tiankai said that since I served as the Chinese ambassador to the United States in April 2013, I have been working in the United States for more than eight years and will leave the country recently.

Dear overseas Chinese:

Time 荏苒, the years are like shuttle. Since April 2013 as the Chinese ambassador to the United States, I have been working in the United States for more than eight years in a blink of an eye, and will leave the country recently.This is the longest term in my diplomatic career. I have experienced many historic incidents, met a lot of enthusiastic and friendly friends, and left me a lot of unforgettable memories.

On the occasion, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the majority of overseas Chinese in the United States for their care and support for my work!I clearly remember that In April 2013, after I was new, dozens of overseas Chinese communities held a grand welcome banquet for me. It was the first large -scale event I attended after I arrived in Washington.I clearly remember that every New Year's Eve, I sit around with overseas Chinese leaders, listen to your in -depth observation of the United States, and contribute suggestions for the development of Sino -US relations.I clearly remember that every time the Chinese leader visited the United States, wherever he went, he was welcomed by overseas Chinese.I clearly remembers that every time I am ancestral (national) country suffering from disasters and danger, overseas Chinese have no idea and generously donate.I especially remember that for many years, overseas Chinese have lived overseas, and they are in a mulberry. They have worked unremittingly to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between China and the United States and the common people's hearts, and have a firm voice to promote the unity of the motherland and defend the national dignity.
