The close friends of the Communist Party of China, an excellent representative of the partyless person, an outstanding leader in my country's science and technology front, a member of the 7th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the representative of the eighth and the ninth National People's Congress, and former deputy minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology Hui Yongzheng Comrades died in Shanghai on December 22, 2020 at the age of 82.

During the serious illness and death of Comrade Hui Yongzheng, the relevant leaders of the central government expressed condolences and mourning in different ways.

Hui Yongzheng, a native of Suzhou, Jiangsu, was born in Laoshi County, Anhui in December 1939.From 1956 to 1962, he studied at the Department of Chemistry of Peking University and worked at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 1962. He served as assistant researcher, associate researcher, planning department, deputy director, researcher, and director.From 1982 to 1984, he was a visiting scholar at the University of North Carolina and the University of Rogers.From 1990 to 1998, he served as deputy director of the National Science and Technology Commission.From 1998 to 2000, he served as Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.Former deputy team leader of the State Council's poor economic development leadership group, member of the State Council Intellectual Property Leading Group, Chairman of the Shanghai Middle -aged Intellectual Association, Vice President of Shanghai Overseas Friendship Association, etc.Academician of the Academy of Sciences, enjoy a special allowance of the State Council.
