The central inspection team accepted the letters and visits in Hubei on December 15th. On the day when the inspection team ended the inspection, the Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection announced that Xu Honglan was investigated.

Xu Honglan is 54 years old. He used to be the deputy secretary of the Wuhan Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Youth League, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Wuchang District, Wuhan City, the mayor of the Hanyang District of Wuhan City and Secretary of the District Party Committee.
