Before Keli joined Huawei in 2012, he had served as different public relations and consultants, including as a communication director in the Schola European Branch and the vice president of Public Relations at Marcii.

In addition, he has served as the general managing director of marketing and communications in BT WHOLESALE for eight years.

The U.S. government has launched a series of restrictions on the company because of suspecting that Huawei has threatened its national security composition. In recent years, Kelly has led the Huawei to counterattack the Trump administration's criticism.
