Question: What can other countries have the experience of responding to the new crown virus from China?

Q: What did other countries make mistakes?
Answer: In my opinion.The biggest mistake in the United States and European countries is that people do not wear masks.This virus spread through droplets and close contact.The drill plays a very important character mdash; mdash; you have to put on a mask, because when you speak, there is always a droplet coming out of your mouth.Many people are asymptomatic infected or have no symptoms. Question: People who are positive in Wuhan are sent to large facilities (Note: Fang Cabin Hospital) isolate in Wuhan, but not allowed family members to visit.Should other countries consider doing this?
Answer: The infected person must be isolated.You should do this anywhere.The only way you can control the new coronal virus is to remove the source of infection.That's why we built a square hospital and turned the gymnasium into a hospital.
Question: There are many problems about the origin of this epidemic in China.Chinese researchers report that the earliest cases can be traced back to December 1, 2019.However, there is a report from the South China Morning Post that the first case occurred in November 17th in November 2019. What do you think of this?
Answer: There is no conclusive evidence that we have group cases in November.We are trying to better study the origin of the virus.
Question: Wuhan associated a large number of cases with the South China Seafood Market and closed the market on January 1.At that time, the sale of wild animals in the market caused the virus to be transmitted to humans.
But in your papers, including retrospective research on cases, you report that 4 of the earliest five infected people have no connection with the seafood market.Do you think the seafood market is a possible origin, or is it just a amplification factor, but isn't it the original source?
Answer: This is a good question.This job is like a detective. From the beginning, everyone thought that the seafood market was the origin.Now, I think the market may be the place where the origin is or the virus is expanded.This is a scientific issue.There are two possibilities.
Question: Some criticism said that China did not share the virus sequence immediately.Reports on this new coronary virus published on January 8th on the Wall Street Journal, why is it not from Chinese scientists?
Answer: This is a good guess of the Wall Street Journal.China reports the virus sequence to WHO. I think the time of the official sharing of the virus sequence and the time for this report may be only a few hours.I don't think it will exceed one day.
Q: But a public virus sequence database later showed that Chinese researchers submitted the first virus sequence on January 5.So at least 3 days, you must know that there is a new coronary virus.This problem will not change the process of the epidemic now, but to be honest, is it blocked by public reports on the epidemic.
Answer: I don't think so.We shared this information with colleagues in a timely manner, but this involves public health, and we must wait for policy makers to publicize publicly.You don't want the public to panic, right?No one can predict that this virus will cause great popularity.This is the first time in the history of non -flu.
Question: It was not until January 20 that Chinese scientists formally stated that there was clear evidence that there was a rumor.Do you think it is difficult for Chinese epidemiologists to find that it is rumored?
Answer: There is no detailed epidemiological data yet.We have faced a very crazy and concealed virus from the beginning.This is also the case in Italy, other parts of Europe, and the United States: from the beginning, scientists believe that this is just a virus.
Question: The spread of the virus in China has decreased. New confirmed cases are mainly people in China, right?
Answer: Yes.At present, we do not have any local dissemination, but the problem in China is now input cases.So many infected passengers came to China.
Q: But what happened when China returned to normal?Do you think there are enough people infected with enough people, so that they can realize group immunity and reject the virus?
Answer: We absolutely have no group immunity.But we are waiting for the more precise results of the antibody test, and it can tell us how many people are really infected.
Q: So what is the current strategy?Find time to find effective drugs?
Answer: Yes, our scientists are developing vaccines and drugs.

Question: Do Chinese scientists have developed an animal model that you think is good enough to study the pathogenesis and test drugs and vaccines?
Answer: At present, we use monkeys and genetically modified mice containing human virus receptor ACE2.Mouse models are widely used in drugs and vaccines in China. I think there will be several papers on monkey models soon.I can tell you that our monkey model is effective.
Q: What do you think of President Trump called this new coronary virus as Chinese virus?
Answer: It is definitely not good to say that it is a Chinese virus.The virus belongs to the earth, and the virus is our common enemyNot any individual or country enemy.
