(Beijing Comprehensive Electricity) Zhang Xin, the former deputy director of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, was appointed as the deputy governor of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government.

Based on the reports of China New News Agency, Reuters and each network, this appointment was approved on the 9th at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress.

According to the official resume, Zhang Xin was born in December 1967, from You County, Hunan Province, joined the Communist Party of China in March 1997, and joined the work in April 2001. He graduated from Columbia University Business School.

Zhang Xin has been an internship at the Caxton hedge fund company and Merrill Lynch. He has served as a senior financial scientist and head of the Bond Department of the World Bank Financial Market Development Bureau (Washington).

Beginning in 2001, he entered the work of the China Securities Supervision and Administration Commission and was a member of the Board of Planning and Development Committee and deputy director of the supervision department of the listed company.Beginning in 2004, he has successively served as deputy director, director of the Financial Stability Bureau of the People's Bank of China, director of Shanghai Branch, and the Director of the Shanghai Branch of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.Since 2017, he has been the Deputy Director of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.In January 2020, he served as Deputy Governor of Guangdong Province.

Last year, many executives of financial institutions such as Bank of China and other financial institutions and financial regulators went to local governments to serve. They were collectively referred to as Deputy Financial Vice Governor.Zhang Xin is the first -time financial deputy governor, which is also the first place this year.

According to statistics from Reuters, since 2018, among 31 provinces and cities in China, 12 state -owned financial institutions or regulatory agencies have been appointed.
