He Yicheng, chairman of the Macau Legislative Council, who is regarded as the next Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region, was announced yesterday that he announced his resignation as a Legislative Council yesterday after he announced his participation in the Chief Executive election and ended his work in the Legislative Council for 10 years.

According to the Macau Chief Executive Election Law, members of the Legislative Council for the Chief Executive can temporarily suspend the position of members after being identified as a candidate. After being elected and appointed by the central government, they will lose their qualifications.

He Yicheng said yesterday that although the law did not stipulate the chief of the executive who needed to resign as the chairman of the Legislative Council, he did not want to affect the work progress of the Legislative Council because of suspension of his position, so he decided to resign and not want to drag water.

He said: A big legislature, such an important institution, I have to leave in two months (later) to find someone to replace us executive committee. The four have changed three people, which is not a good thing for the Legislative Council. As myself, now that I have decided to run, otherwise it will be a little bit more simply.I will resign if I want to resign, and I wo n’t leave any way.

He Yicheng pointed out that in the early days of his chairman of the Legislative Council in 2014, he encountered the incident of surrounding the Legislative Council due to anti -resignation. It was his biggest challenge and unforgettable thing. In the future, each law should be careful to consider the opinions of citizens, including whether the citizens will be impacted or caused a great response.

He responded to the reporter's question that he would not comment on the demonstration incident caused by the Recent Hong Kong Legislative Council for revising the escape regulations.

He Yicheng, 62, has served as chairman of the Macau Legislative Council since 2013 and re -elected in 2017.He announced the election of the Chief Executive in the middle of last month.

So far, there are six people who have participated in the first election of Macau, including He Yicheng, Liang Guozhou, director of the current investment consulting company, Xu Rongcong, president of the former Macau Guangming News, Citizen Cai Tingting, Papua New Guinea Honorary Consul Shao Shirong, and Chen Rongfu, head of the motor engineering company.

Shao Shirong: I have the confidence to get the nomination of about 30 election committees

In an interview with Lianhe Morning Post, Shao Shirong said that he was confident that he was nominated for about 30 election committees. The remaining half still needed to work hard. He hoped to break the situation in which businessmen or civil servants were elected and brought new scenes to Macau.

Shao Shirong pointed out that once elected, it will promote Macau's economy and diversify, including the establishment of a stock settlement center and the establishment of a gold trading center in Hengqin.

He hopes that young people in Macau should not only choose the gaming industry, and after taking office, they will encourage young people to study more and expand their international perspective.
