Wang Jun was the son of former vice chairman Wang Zhen, the founding member of CITIC Group, and the third chairman of Rong Yiren and Wei Mingyi.
It can be checked that Wang Jun was born in Hunan in 1941 and graduated from Harbin Military Engineering Institute.Former engineer of Jiangnan Shipyard and Wuchang Shipyard Construction Engineers, served in the Navy of the People's Liberation Army from 1977 to 1978, joined the business department of China International Trust and Investment Corporation in 1979, and served as chairman of CITIC Group Corporation from 1995 to 2006.
In 2006, Wang Jun, 65, stepped down from CITIC Group.
