Wang Dongwei was born in 1965 and is 54 years old this year.He is a native of Inner Mongolia. He has been working in Ordos in the early days and served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Ordos Municipal Committee.In October 2014, he transferred from Ordos to the Xing'an League, serving as a member of the League Committee and deputy leader.

In July 2016, Wang Dongwei adjusted his position again and became the deputy secretary of the Chifeng Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Political and Legal Committee.Six months before Wang Dongwei took over this position, in January 2016, Meng Fan, former member of the Standing Committee of the Chifeng Municipal Committee and former secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, was investigated for serious violations of discipline.

Meng Fanyou is Wang Dongwei's predecessor. He served as secretary of the Chifeng Municipal Legal Committee in 2006 and resigned in 2011.Subsequently, Zou Dehua, then Secretary of the Songshan District Party Committee of Chifeng City, took over as Secretary of the Municipal Legal Committee.In March 2016, Zou Dehua became the chairman of Chifeng CPPCC.

The day before Li Zhibin committed suicide, his old superior, Meng Jianwei (director level), former party committee member and deputy director of the Public Security Department of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, was under investigation.The day before, his subordinate Du Baojun, a member of the Party Committee and deputy director of the Hohhot Public Security Bureau, was under investigation.

Let’s talk about Meng Jianwei first. He worked in Baotou’s municipal legal system from 2003 to 2010. He successively served as the director of the Municipal Public Security Bureau and the secretary of the Municipal Legal Committee.

In 2010, Meng Jianwei was promoted from the secretary of the Baotou Municipal Legal Committee and director of the Public Security Bureau to the Public Security Department of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.Since 2015, he has only served as a member of the CPPCC Autonomous Region, and retired in December 2017.
