According to a report by The Paper today (17th), it was learned from Yuan Mu's funeral working group that Yuan Mu, the former director of the Research Office of the State Council of China, died of illness in Beijing on December 13, 2018 at the age of 91.

According to public information, Yuan Mu was born in Xinghua, Jiangsu in 1928.Yuan Mu served as the director of the State Council Research Office, the spokesperson of the State Council, and a member of the Standing Committee of the Eighth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

The Research Office of the State Council is a State Council office that undertakes comprehensive policy research and decision-making consultation tasks and serves the main leaders of the State Council.
