Recently updated information on the official websites of the Taiwan Work Office of the CPC Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council shows that 55-year-old Pei Jinjia, former member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee, was transferred to the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Central Committee and deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council in November this year.Among the three deputy directors, Pei Jinjia ranked first.
According to public information, Pei Jinjia was born in August 1963 in Anxi, Fujian, and had been working in Fujian Province before.After he started working in August 1984, he worked in the Xiamen Municipal Finance Bureau for 6 years, and later served as the director of the Xiamen Kaiyuan District Finance Bureau.Since 1994, he has successively worked in Kaiyuan District and Siming District, and served as the mayor of Kaiyuan District and secretary of the Siming District Committee.
In 2006, Pei Jinjia was promoted to the deputy mayor of Xiamen, which lasted for 4 years.In 2010, he was transferred to Nanping City, Fujian Province, where he successively served as mayor and secretary of the municipal party committee.In February 2015, he returned to Xiamen as the mayor, and in September of the following year he served as the secretary of the Municipal Party Committee until now.
During the period, he became a member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee in November 2016.
