On December 14, the 7th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 17th Tianjin Municipal People's Congress passed the appointment of Ma Shunqing as the deputy mayor of Tianjin.

Ma Shunqing is a Hui nationality, born in January 1963, from Xining, Qinghai.He has worked in Qinghai for a long time. In November 1989, he was transferred from the party secretary of Qingshizui Town, Menyuan County, Qinghai Province to the director of the Political Department of the Qinghai Provincial Department of Education.Deputy Mayor, Director of the Provincial Department of Land and Resources, etc.

In January 2008, Ma Shunqing became the vice-governor of Qinghai Province and was promoted to deputy ministerial level. In July 2014, he was listed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.In May 2015, he was transferred from the deputy mayor to the director of the Provincial Party Committee Reform Office and the chairman of the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions.
