According to the public resume, Miao Ruilin was born in November 1964 and has never left Jiangsu Province in his official career.After graduating from the agronomy major of Jiangsu Agricultural College in his early years, he worked in the agricultural system for 20 years. He served as the deputy director of the Agricultural Bureau of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Forestry and the director of the Provincial Agricultural Resources Development Bureau. In 2004, Miao Ruilin was transferred to the local government and has been in charge of Suqian for 8 years. He has successively served as executive deputy mayor, acting mayor, mayor and secretary of the municipal party committee.In January 2013, at the age of 49, he entered the provincial and ministerial ranks and became the vice governor of Jiangsu for the first time. In October 2013, Ji Jianye, the mayor of Nanjing at the time, was sacked.
