Liu Xin, 53 years old (born in January 1965), is a native of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, with a doctorate in engineering. After the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Liu Xin successively served as the mayor and secretary of the municipal party committee of Mudanjiang. Cui Jie, who served as the mayor of Changchun from 2007 to 2012, was ordered by the Ministry of Supervision to publicly apologize to the people of the city in 2011 due to the illegal forced demolition by real estate developers in Changchun;
