Jing Xiqiang is a well-known expert in corn breeding research and was once called Yuan Longping of the North.His resume shows that Jing Xiqiang was born in June 1957 in Wafangdian, Liaoning. In August 1982, after graduating from the Department of Agronomy of Shenyang Agricultural College, he entered the Dandong Agricultural Science Research Institute.
He first served as a technical cadre and deputy director of the Corn Research Office, and began to serve as the deputy director of the Research Institute in 1992.In 1996, the Dandong Institute of Agricultural Sciences was renamed Dandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Jing Xiqiang was also changed from deputy director to vice president.In 1998, he served as the deputy secretary of the party committee and the dean.
