Geng Shuang announced that during his visit to New Zealand, Han Zheng and Zhang Zhixian will co-chair the 14th meeting of the JCBC, the 19th meeting of the Sino-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Joint Coordinating Council, the 10th meeting of the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Joint Coordinating Council andThe second meeting of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Connectivity Demonstration Project Joint Coordinating Council.
When answering questions, Geng Shuang also said that Singapore is a friendly neighbor of China, and the two countries have established an all-round cooperative partnership that keeps pace with the times, and have carried out fruitful cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
He said that Han Zheng's visit aims to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen strategic communication and deepen practical cooperation.During the visit, Han Zheng will meet with Singaporean President Halimah Mahathir, Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean and Deputy Prime Minister Shan Tharman.The two sides will focus on in-depth exchanges of views on China-New Zealand relations, the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and other international and regional issues of common concern.
Geng Shuang also introduced that the China-Singapore vice-premier-level bilateral cooperation mechanism includes the Bilateral Cooperation Joint Committee, Suzhou Industrial Park Joint Coordinating Council, Tianjin Eco-city Joint Coordinating Council, and China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Connectivity Demonstration Project Joint Coordinating Councilmeeting.This is the highest-level institutional communication channel between the two countries, which has played an important role in deepening China-Singapore mutually beneficial cooperation and serving the economic and social development of the two countries.
