Since 2018, nine provinces, including Chongqing, Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Tibet, Xinjiang, Guangxi, and Guizhou, have adjusted secretary-generals of party committees, leaving vacancies for secretary-generals of Fujian and Guangdong provincial committees.

Gao Zhili will be 56 years old (born in October 1962), a native of Handan, Hebei Province. In 2014, he served as the director of the Provincial Department of Finance. In November 2016, when the Hebei Provincial Party Committee was re-elected, he was elected as a member of the Standing Committee, and later transferred to the Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee;Tong Jianming, who was transferred to the Deputy Procurator-General of the Supreme Procuratorate, became the Secretary-General of the Provincial Party Committee.

In November 2016, the Hebei Provincial Party Committee was re-elected. According to news from Hebei Daily on August 29, recently, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China approved Ran Wanxiang as a member of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee and Standing Committee.On September 2, the newspaper reported that the day before, Ran Wanxiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and head of the United Front Work Department, went to Zhengding County, Shijiazhuang City, to conduct research on the United Front work in the new era.Ran Wanxiang investigated the development and changes of Tayuanzhuang Village in Zhengding County on the spot, inspected religious sites such as Linji Temple, the restoration of ancient cities, and the protection of cultural relics, and exchanged discussions with grassroots United Front cadres and United Front targets.

This is the second time that Ran Wanxiang has served as the Minister of the United Front Work of the Provincial Party Committee. He was a member of the Standing Committee of the Gansu Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work from January 2014 to April 2015.

Since 2018, nine provinces including Shanghai, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Hebei, Shanxi, Heilongjiang, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan have adjusted their United Front Work Ministers.

Three of them started their careers in Hebei and have served in Hebei for a long time, namely Jiao Yanlong, Xing Guohui, and Gao Zhili.Most of the rest were parachuted from other provinces or central departments to serve in Hebei. For example, Wang Dongfeng and Yuan Tongli previously served in Tianjin, Xu Qin previously served in Guangdong, Zhao Yide, Liang Tiangeng, Chen Gang, Liang Huiling, and Wang Hao previously served in Zhejiang, Tibet, Guizhou, Hubei,Shandong.Dong Yusheng became a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee in 2016 when he was the Vice Governor of Hebei Province and the Director of the Provincial Public Security Department, but he served in Jiangxi for a long time before 2013.

In the summer of 2018, Han Xiaodong, then member of the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee and political commissar of the provincial military region, was transferred to the position of Assistant Chief of Staff of the Joint Staff Department of the Central Military Commission. Currently, there is a vacancy in the Standing Committee of Hebei Military Uniforms.

Ran Wanxiang will be 55 years old (born in September 1963). Before 2015, his official career was concentrated in his hometown of Gansu. He served as deputy director of the General Office of the Gansu Provincial Party Committee, deputy secretary-general of the Provincial Party Committee, director of the Policy Research Office, and secretary of the Linxia State Party Committee; he was promoted in 2012.Vice Governor; In 2014, he became a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and was transferred to the United Front Work Minister of the Provincial Party Committee.
