After the police rushed to the scene, they found that the person involved was Peng Yaoxin, a member of the Meizhou CPPCC party group.There were no vital signs, and preliminary investigation revealed that he died by hanging himself.

56-year-old Peng Yaoxin is from Xingning, Guangdong. He has worked in Meizhou for about 30 years.In 2016, he was promoted to deputy secretary of the Meizhou Municipal Party Committee and concurrently served as secretary of the Political and Legal Committee.

Peng Yaoxin’s last public appearance was from July 26 to 27. The Meizhou Daily reported that Zhou Qiang, the president of the Supreme People’s Court, visited the city to investigate the work of the court.However, when the official announced the news of his suicide this time, it showed that he had been transferred to the party group of the Meizhou CPPCC before his death.
