In May of last year, during the reelection of the Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, Zhang Yan, former secretary of the Panzhihua Municipal Party Committee, was elected as the deputy secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection.In June last year, Li Jianqin, the former mayor of Panzhihua, succeeded Zhang Yan as the secretary of the municipal party committee.

Li Jianqin was born in November 1963. In 1987, after majoring in Chinese history from the Department of History of Peking University, he joined the Secretariat of the CPPCC National Committee.
