(Comprehensive News from Beijing) Zhang Shuofu, Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China, was transferred to the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee yesterday.

According to Xinhuanet, Guangzhou held a city-wide meeting of leading cadres yesterday afternoon to announce the decision of the CPC Central Committee.

According to the official resume, the 53-year-old Zhang Shuofu is from Changsha, Hunan Province. He has a doctorate in engineering and is a senior engineer.After graduation, he worked in Hunan Province for a long time. He used to be the deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Water Conservancy Department, the deputy secretary of the Yiyang Municipal Party Committee, and the director of the Hunan Provincial Water Conservancy Department.

In 2008, 43-year-old Zhang Shuofu served as deputy secretary of the Loudi Municipal Party Committee, acting mayor, and mayor, becoming the youngest mayor of a prefecture-level city in Hunan Province at that time.Three years later, Zhang Shuofu was transferred to the secretary of the Yongzhou Municipal Party Committee. In 2013, he was promoted to the vice-governor of Hunan Province and was promoted to the vice-ministerial level.

In April 2015, Zhang Shuofu left his hometown of Hunan and was transferred to the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection.In January 2017, he served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, and was elected as the director of the Beijing Municipal Supervisory Commission.

According to The Paper, Zhang Shuofu is the second secretary of Guangzhou City to be transferred from outside Guangdong Province in more than 30 years.The first one is Ren Xuefeng, who has been working in Tianjin for a long time. In 2014, after Wan Qingliang, the former secretary of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee, was sacked, he parachuted to Guangzhou to serve as the leader.

Officials have not yet disclosed Ren Xuefeng's whereabouts.
