According to the Shaanxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, Hu Zhiqiang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Shaanxi Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation.

Hu Zhiqiang, male, Han nationality, was born in October 1963 in Changzhi, Shanxi Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in December 1985 and started working in September 1988. He has a postgraduate degree from the Central Party School and a master of business administration.
From September 1984 to September 1988, studied in the Department of Business Administration, Beijing Institute of Finance and Trade;
From September 1988 to March 1993, worked in the Enterprise Division and Foreign Investment Division of the Enterprise Department of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce;
From March 1993 to April 1996, he successively served as the deputy director of the office and assistant to the general manager of Huajin Coking Coal Company (during which: from May 1994 to May 1995, he served as the deputy magistrate of Muping County, Shandong Province);
From April 1996 to April 1998, he served as the deputy manager of the Industrial Development Department and the director of the project department of Shenhua Group Corporation;
From April 1998 to November 2001, he served as the manager of the Industrial Development Department of Shenhua Group Corporation;
From November 2001 to November 2005, he served successively as a member of the Standing Committee of the Xianyang Municipal Party Committee, Deputy Mayor, and Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee (during March 2002 to January 2005, he studied economics and management at the Correspondence College of the Central Party School; in November 2003from August to August 2005, studying at the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business for senior executives majoring in business administration);
From November 2005 to February 2008, served as Deputy Secretary-General of the Shaanxi Provincial Government and member of the Party Group of the General Office;
From February 2008 to July 2011, served successively as deputy secretary of the Yulin Municipal Party Committee, acting mayor, and mayor;
From July 2011 to April 2017, served as Secretary of the Yulin Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress;
