A Jiangsu minister committed suicide during training in Zhejiang

Cheng Wandong, deputy director of the Organization Department of the Jianhu County Party Committee of Jiangsu Province and director of the Veteran Cadres Bureau, committed suicide a few days ago while studying and training in Zhejiang.

The Paper quoted several local officials in Jianhu today (27th) to confirm the matter.

On May 23 this year, the first training course on improving the leadership of top party and government leaders in Jianhu County was held at Zhejiang University. The training lasted for seven days.45 cadres, including the principals of towns (sub-districts and districts) in Jianhu County and some county-level units, participated in the training.Cheng Wandong is a student of the first training class.

A leader of the Jianhu County Party Committee said: Regarding Cheng's accidental death, the police temporarily ruled out criminal cases after investigation. Currently, we are working on the aftermath of the family members.

Cheng Wandong currently serves as the deputy director of the Organization Department of the Jianhu County Party Committee and the director of the Veteran Cadre Bureau.

According to public reports, he had previously served as the director of the editorial office of Guojianhu County, and had worked for the Jianhu County People's Congress for a long time before that.

The last time Cheng Wandong appeared in a public report was on April 28. The launching ceremony of the 2018 Jiangsu Provincial Elderly Sports Festival Yancheng Branch was held in Jianhu County, and Cheng Wandong attended.

According to the Jianhu Daily report, this year, Jianhu County launched the annual activity of improving the professional ability of cadres.In terms of special training for party and government leaders, the annual training plan for party and government leaders has been formulated, and in cooperation with Pudong Cadre Academy and Zhejiang University, etc., a county-wide party and government leader leadership training class has been held.
