(Morning News) The UN confidential report states that despite the deterioration of North Korea's economic situation, North Korea continued to develop its nuclear and ballistic missile plans in the first half of this year, violating international sanctions.

This confidential report is a report submitted by the North Korean Sanctions Committee to the United Nations Security Council by an independent sanctions and supervision team. Reuters saw the excerpt of this report on Friday (6th).

The report refers to Pyongyang "continue to seek materials and technology overseas for these nuclear and ballistic missile projects."

The Sanctions and Supervision Team concluded: "Although it focuses on the deteriorating economic dilemma in China, the North Korean Democratic People's Republic still continues to maintain and develop its nuclear and ballistic missile plans."The United Nations Headquarters delegation did not immediately respond to the request of the United Nations report comment.

Since last year, North Korea has implemented strict blockade in order to curb the popularity of crown diseases, which has led to a sharp decline in its trade activities and international assistance channels, which has further weakened the economy that North Korea was already affected by international sanctions.
