The US Department of Defense was released on Wednesday (February 22)The pilot's selfie photo shows the pilot's earlier this month to see the Chinese balloon that will be shot down.
According to Bloomberg, this photo was taken in the U-2 reconnaissance aircraft cockpit on February 3.
Another pilot of the US Air Force, the next day, on February 4th, drove the F-22 Raptor fighter to track this balloon. The purpose was not to take pictures, but to prepare for the launch of the AIM-9X Snake missile.
The pilot finally shot down the balloon at about 58,000 feet high altitude.
