The United States on Thursday (February 2nd), which has been turned off for 30 years, has been closed for 30 years in the Solomon Islands Embassy to contribute to China's increasing influence in the South Pacific.

According to Agence France -Presse, US Secretary of State Brillings said in a statement that restarting the office in the foreign office is "updating our commitment to the cooperative relationship between the Solomon Islands and the Pacific of India."

After the end of the Cold War, the United States gradually closed the office in foreign offices, and also adjusted policies. In 1993, it closed the Solomon Islands Embassy in Honeyla.

After signing a security cooperation agreement with China with the Solomon Islands, Washington stated in early 2022 that he would restart the willingness of the Solomon Islands Embassy.

The security agreement signed by the Solomon Islands Prime Minister Sogovre and Beijing, which aroused concerns from Western countries, arguing that the Solomon Islands will provide China with a new foothold in the Pacific Ocean.

The temporary representative of the US Embassy in the Solomon Islands Russell Corneau said the US embassy will "provide an important platform" for the US and the Solomon Islands government.

Brinken added that restarting the embassy "let us deepen more diplomats in the region and deepen the relationship with the Pacific neighbors."

Solomon Islands Prime Minister Sogovre did not attend the restarting ceremony of the US Embassy in the Solomon Islands, but Colin Beck, the permanent secretary of the Solomon Islands Foreign Ministry, said that the government and the people of the Solomon Islands welcomed the United States to restart Huo Huo Huo HuoEmbassy of Niala.
