On the occasion of cross -strait relations, Taiwan rejected the application for tourism officials in nine provinces in mainland China.

Comprehensive Wang Daily and Economic Daily reported that the 2023 Taipei Summer Travel Exhibition will appear in July. Nine provinces invited to participate in the exhibition include Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hainan and so on.The tourist deputy director or director of the nine provinces applied for a brigade exhibition earlier. The relevant application was held by the MAC, the Immigration Department and the Tourism Bureau in accordance with regulations.

It is reported that the MAC, the Immigration Department and the Tourism Bureau held a joint review meeting for more than three hours on Tuesday (June 27), and decided to make the mainland tourism officials originally intended to invite the organizer ""The whole cut of light" only allowed tourists from all provinces to go to Taiwan to watch exhibitions. This caused only about 140 people to go to Taiwan in Taiwan.

A person familiar with the matter revealed that the mainland officials invited to Taiwan in this trip to Taiwan, except for the three of the Tourism Exchange Associations on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, are all heads of local tourism departments and are not sensitive.

The person familiar with the matter said that the reason why Taiwan rejected the application of mainland tourism officials was related to the three people's submissions of the Maritime Travel Association's previous application.

The Economic Daily reported that Kong Lun, deputy director of the International Exchange Bureau of the Ministry of Mainland China, originally wanted to lead two section chiefs to go to Taiwan as the Maritime Brigade Association. However, considering that they may meet with officials of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau and even the MAC, they are worried that they will be "made of articles" by the Taiwan government, so they have decided to revoke the application.

People familiar with the matter also said that Taiwan should adhere to cross -strait tourism at the same time, including tourism groups and free travel. Originally, officials of the maritime tourism would communicate with each other.Tourism officials in nine provinces in mainland China decided to go to Taiwan.

Taiwan tourism industry pointed out that this move may make cross -strait tourism restore normal prospects more pessimistic.
