The holding of real bomb shooting in the waters around the Taiping Island in response to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs is seriously infringing Vietnam's sovereignty. The Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded that it was completely unable to accept this statement.

The Taiwan Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the official website on Sunday (June 11) stating that "the Republic of China government reiterated all rights in international law and marine law on the South China Islands and its related waters."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan also said that "Taiping Island belongs to Taiwan's territory and cannot be questioned." And the Taiwan government "has the right to exercise all rights as a sovereign country on Taiping Island and its related waters."

According to VNEXPRESS, Vietnam Foreign Ministry spokesman Pham Thu Hang stated on Thursday (June 8th) that Taiwan conducted real bombs in the waters near Taiping Island on the Nansha Islands. It seriously violated Vietnam's sovereignty over these islands, threatened peace, stability, and maritime security, and exacerbated the tension situation, which complicated the situation in the South China Sea.

Fan Qiuzhen also said that Vietnam resolutely opposed this line, requiring Taiwan to cancel the above illegal activities, and will no longer repeat similar illegal acts in the future.

Taiping Island is the largest natural island and land on the Nansha Islands.
