TSMC announced that the 2 -nanometer process has made good progress in yields and components, and will be mass -produced in 2025.At the same time, TSMC has also launched a new three -nanometer technology, of which the enhanced version of the 3 -nanometer process is expected to mass production in the second half of 2024.

According to the Taiwan Central News Agency, TSMC revealed the latest technological development in the North American Technology Forum on Wednesday (April 26) in the United States.Among them, TSMC announced that the two -nanometer technology uses nano -sheet electrical crystal architecture, which shows good progress in terms of yield and component efficiency, which will be mass -produced in 2025.

Compared to the upgraded version of the 3 -nanometer (N3E) process technology, 2 nanometers can increase by 15%at the same power consumption; at the same speed, the power consumption can be reduced by 30%, the chip can be reduced, the chip can be reduced, and the chip can be reduced. The density increases by more than 15%.

As the 3 -nanometer process has entered mass production, the N3E process is expected to be mass -produced in 2023. TSMC will further launch more 3 nanometer technology to meet the diverse needs of customers.

Including a reinforcement version of better power consumption, efficiency and density, 3nm (N3P) is expected to enter mass production in the second half of 2024.TSMC said that compared with the N3E process, the N3P increased by 5%at the same power consumption; at the same speed, the power consumption decreased by 5%to 10%, and the chip density increased by 4%.

In order to allow customers to use 3 nanometer technology to design automotive application products in advance, so that in 2025, the N3A process that has been fully passed through the automotive process verification in 2025. TSMC is expected to launch N3AE in 2023, providing N3E as theBasic car process design kit (PDK).
