Australia's industry, government, academic and media delegation will visit China next Thursday (September 7) to exchange on issues such as trade, investment, and international security.

According to Reuters, Australian Foreign Minister Huang Yingxian's office issued a statement on Saturday (September 2) saying that the visit will be led by former Australian Labor Trade Secretary Craig Emerson.Julie Bishop, a former Foreign Minister of Liberal Party, shows the political support of the two parties in the visit.

Statement stated that the Australian delegation will discuss trade, investment, regional and international security issues with the Chinese delegation.It is reported that the Chinese delegation was led by former Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing.

Huang Yingxian said in the statement that this was the first time that the two countries' delegations have held a dialogue since the beginning of 2020.The dialogue will further increase bilateral contact and stabilize the relationship between Australia and China.

Emerson also said that this dialogue was the opportunity to find the common position of the two countries.

Since 2014, China and Australia have held a non -ministerial high -level meeting every year to discuss issues that both sides concerned.However, after 2020, the deterioration of Sino -Australian relations and the followers that followed the crown disease caused such conferences to stop.
