Reuters quoted anonymous sources from China and India reported that Chinese President Xi Jinping may not attend the G20 leader summit held in India next week.

Reuters on Thursday (August 31) quoted four sources reported that Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang was expected to attend the G20 summit.These four sources include two Indian officials, one diplomat stationed in China, and a government official of another G20 member states.

The Leader Summit of the 20th National Group will be held in New Delhi, India's capital from September 9th to 10th.

A senior Indian government official told Reuters: "We know that Prime Minister (Li Qiang) will come."

In China, two foreign diplomats, and another G20 from another G20A government official of a member country said Xi Jinping may not attend the summit.

Sources in China said they did not know why Xi Jinping did not attend the summit.Two of the sources said they learned the news from Chinese officials.
