China's Hezhong New Energy Vehicle will begin to produce in Thailand and sell them in Southeast Asia, becoming the latest electric vehicle manufacturer to establish a supply chain in the heavy town of the car.
According to Bloomberg, Tipanan Sirichana, a spokesman for the Thai government, said in a statement on Saturday (May 6) that Hezhong signed one with a Thai car assembly company earlier this week.The item protocol will produce the NETA V models local next year.
Tipupu also said that the electric car manufacturer, headquartered in Shanghai, launched the NetA V model last year and set up the first exhibition hall in Thailand.In addition, Hezhong also plans to introduce more models in Thailand in the near future.
Thailand is the largest passenger electric vehicle market in Southeast Asia, and related competition has been heating up.
Thailand has a comprehensive supply chain provided by dozens of factories. These factories are mainly held by Japanese companies that produce internal combustion engine cars.
Thailand became the first country in Southeast Asia to provide cash subsidies to imported passenger electric vehicles last year.
