Chen Xu, director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China, said that the current situation of overseas Chinese shows a series of new situations, new characteristics, and new trends.Second, the integrated consciousness of the mainstream social society has increased and social status has gradually increased; the third is that the Chinese nation and cultural identity are strengthened, and friendly forces have continued to grow; fourth, the demands of overseas Chinese and returned overseas Chinese have diverse, and the task of serving overseas Chinese is heavier.
The report also shows that all parts of China have continued to promote the construction of the overseas Chinese service system, and created a demonstration site of about 1,000 community overseas Chinese affairs work nationwide, and set up "Overseas Chinese" and "Overseas Chinese House".The service platform continues to consolidate the grassroots forces that serve overseas Chinese, open up the "last mile" for overseas Chinese, and promote 84 overseas Chinese farms to realize the "system integration of localities into local, management into society, and economy into the market."
