According to the website of the State Supervision Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Sunday (April 16), Liu Qiangdong, 64, is suspected of serious disciplinary violations and is undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation.

He had not left Jiangsu., Secretary of the Jiangning District Party Committee, etc. In 2008, he served as Deputy Secretary of the Zhenjiang Municipal Party Committee and acting mayor; in 2009, he served as the mayor of Zhenjiang City; in 2012, he served as the head of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Finance, the party secretary of the party group and the party group secretary of the provincial local tax bureau.

In January 2018, Liu Qiangdong was promoted to the deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress and a member of the party group.
