(Beijing / Brazilian Comprehensive News) Brazil President Lula went to China for four days on Wednesday (12th).Western news agencies reported that Lula would discuss with Chinese officials to discuss economic and trade cooperation and mediation of the Russia and Ukraine War.

Xinhua News Agency reported that Hua Chunying, a Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced on the 11th that Lula visited China from April 12th to 15th.

Agence France -Presse quoted Brazilian Foreign Minister Viera on the 10th that Lula would discuss the Ukrainian war with Chinese officials.Lula hopes to push his suggestions to end the Ukrainian war through mediation negotiations.Viera said that after Lula's visit to China, he returned to Brazil, and he would set up a "mediation national group."

Report also said that on the 6th of this month, Ukraine suggested that Ukraine abandon Crimea in exchange for a peaceful negotiation and end war with Russia, but Ukraine refused to accept it.The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that any mediation work must "based on respect for sovereignty and restore the integrity of Ukraine territory".Russia annexed Crimea in 2014.

The 77 -year -old Lula was originally scheduled to bring 240 Brazilian business leaders to China on March 25, and later delayed its trip due to pneumonia.Lula defeated Bosonaro, who defeated the far right in October last year and was elected President of Brazil.
