US Secretary of Commerce Raymond pointed out that there is no evidence in the United States that the Chinese communications giant Huawei has an advanced chip smartphone with an advanced chip.

Reuters reported that Raymond said at a hearing at the US House of Representatives on Tuesday (September 19): "We have no evidence to indicate that they (Huawei) can make 7 nanometers (chips) on a large scale."

Huawei suddenly sold the new Mate 60 Pro smartphone at the end of August this year.Analysts believe that the mobile phone is equipped with a 7 -nanometer chip made of SMIC in China, which is regarded as a major technological breakthrough in Huawei.

The US Department of Commerce said earlier that the department has started to obtain more information about the "characteristics and composition" of Huawei chips. Both SMIC and Huawei are included in the United States and are restricted to obtain US technology.
