Li Shangfu was elected as a Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Defense during the "Two Sessions" of China in March this year.This will be the first foreign visit after he has served as the Minister of Defense.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang met with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov on April 13, local time.Qin Gang said at the meeting that China was willing to work with Russia to take the implementation of the consensus of the two countries as its core task, and to promote high -level operations in bilateral relations.Both sides should maintain high -level exchanges and maintain political mutual trust.
